Due to the struggling economy, the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter has established a Pet Food
Pantry for those pet owners in need. This program enables families to keep their pets while spending their limited
resources on living expenses for themselves. FMAS is hoping, that by coming to the aid of these pet owners, they
will be able to
keep their beloved pets instead of finding them a new home, surrendering to a
shelter or abandoning them. FMAS feels this program literally makes a difference between keeping a pet and having
to give the pet up.
To be eligible for this program, owners must be low income (no proof will be needed) and the pets
must be spayed or neutered. If your pets are not altered, we will arrange low cost spay/neuter for your pet.
Food may be picked at the Manchester Animal Shelter
during our normal business hours.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10 - 4 pm.
- Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 - 8 pm.
- Saturday 10 - 4 pm.
We highly recommend you
call the shelter ahead of time to make sure we have enough food in stock.We welcome cash donations for this program as well as dog and cat food (wet and dry) and cat litter.
Food donations may be dropped off at the shelter or at our collection
bins;
